You sound and spell like you are illiterate. But I have since read your myspace website and am now sure of this. We are not all 18 years old please take this into consideration when you post other items.
Your K & N filteration system looks fine. Is there a performance boost that is perceptable?

Your air filter didn't provide any performance boost because its supposed to be installed in conjunction with spinners. Read the K&N installation instruction more closely next time, dawg. Its a very complicated wind flow vortex thing...hard to explain.

English is a standard language, spoken in the United States... if you want to communicate to MOST people in the United States, English will work just fine... Spanish, French, German, and the various Asian languages are spoken and appreciated here, as well...

...but...

For those young and foolish types that try to vary the spelling, diction, etc. of the English language, they appear hip, trendy and different to their peers, but you will find, as time passes, that not everyone appreciates the current butcher-job of the language... and in fact, you will soon become outdated... leaving you much like the 30-something, mullet-and-side-burns types, that drive 1978 z-28's and live in mom's basement... outdated... and are rediculed by their peers. (Joe Dirt, anyone?)

Word of advice, whether you are acting your age, or not... at least try to fit in.

4 u might b n 4 sum trublz... iffen u dis da stylz.

By the way... very nice X... and nice install on the K&N... let us know if you think it helps... I have the normal 6 cylinder X and I would like to think that something could help the acceleration problem I face on busy on-ramps... and while on the subject... if you wouldn't mind... watch your gas mileage, and see if maybe it bumps up or down. I added 4 driving lights and I swear my mileage dropped just below 16 mph. Guess I made it more of a brick shape, than I realized... but those lights come in handy on country roads... specifically in areas where deer like to graze in the ditches and R.O.W.'s.

Welcome aboard!

Nice looking setup. I like that they put filter material in the tip of the cone rather than just having it be a solid piece like my AEM is. Shouldn't there be some kind of heat shield, though? You're gettin all your air straight from the hot engine compartment... that can't be good.

my cousin does that when he emails or PMs me... but he's also 14.

regardless, that intake set up looks very profesional; nicely done. i'm interested in the same info as the other people (preformance gain & MPG improvement / decline) but i would like to know how did the install go? was it easy? did the kit come with all the hardware or was there other things to buy (IE i noticed you had a lot of worm clamps, did you have to buy those or did they come with the kit?)?

Maybe a dumb question but doesn't the stock system at least pull air through that hole you see in the fender wall there - psuedo 'cold air intake.' Wouldn't pulling the hot air from the engine compartment hurt performance? I thought that was the going logic around here anyway....

I've seen K&N installs where they boxed in the filter so it would draw air from the fender instead of the engine compartment. Or is this all hype too?

Anyway - Pilmo, the install itself does look nice and clean, good work there. Keep us posted on how it works out for you.

thank you..
dont know about the performance gain or the MPG yet.but i will know that when i fill up soon.but i am already seeing a little change in my performance...

and the only thing i had was the filter.
so i had to buy the clamps...
because first time i did it it was all hanging down..so i had to buy more clamps to hold it so it doesnt move..and to position it right on the fender hole...

You're kinda defeating the whole purpose of the cold air intake if you don't have the heat sheild. Being as it is a open air it will suck in whatever is around it, therefore sucking in hot air. Therefore not as much 02....

Ok, looking at that setup it is a much less restrictive intake than the stock intake was, not a CAI. A true CAI will pull air from inside the fender, in front of the radiator, etc...not from under the engine bay.

Pimo, I'm impressed that you can come out of your thug persona so fast [ThumbsUp] Looks very clean.

I have had that intake for about 3 months now. Neve noticed any diference in mpg. Infact it seems to go down cause I keep wanting to hear that throaty growl it produces.
