So i've seen the difference first hand between the 10% ethanol gas that all stations around here have and regular 100% gas. Normally i get 280 out of a tank with the light being on for a bit. Now i have 280 and 1/4 tank still showing. So i read around and saw that you can tweak your engine timing for this ethanol blend to make it run much more like regular gas. Has anyone played with this? What were your results like?

all the ethanol is doing in that tank of gas is giving a SLIGHTLY cleaner burn for less hydrocarbons leaving the tailpipe, far as tweaking goes there ain much you can do unless you set it up to run on e85 and regular gas, that will be expensive, you should not noitice a mileage difference with the blend or straight gas

I beg to differ, i can always tell when they switch to a winter blend, my mileage goes down about 10-12 percent..

damn!!!!! thats alot! where are you located if i might ask? driving conditions causing this maybe? kinda mindhumping you into thinkin gas? wet roads actually have an affect on mpg so... winter blend with snowy roads???
