is it true that when timing belt of 3.3 v6 goes is the engine shot or or just needs timing belt replace and is it possible to put a 99 pathfinder v-6 in a 2000 X[size:17pt][/size][font:Impact][/font]

If the belt broke, and the engine was shut down, there is a good chance that there was no damage, you will have to search, unless someone answers, to find out, I cant recall if the vg33 is an interference engine or not. search some sites, I am sure you can find lots and lots of info about that subject, I know I've read a few things related to that topic.

As far as putting a 99 pathy into it, not sure that would be very cheap or easy, would probably cause conflicts if not changing the computer out too...

the VG33 in an interference engine, meaning that is the belt broke and you were at speed, there is a very good possibility that you may need to have headwork done.

If the pathfinder had the VG33E motor (likely) then it should be a drop-in replacement.

Well Barry certainly knows his chit (I used to live a block away from him... helped me with all kinds of stuff), but I swear I've seen posts on here about the pistons on the X hitting valves even though it has those cut-out pistons
