I just had this same problem minus the rears. I knew going in it would be iffy. My Firestone told me the same thing yours did.
I have the
Calmini arms, so I ordered replacement upper ball joints from them along with a new IA brace since my
L&P one was ovaling on the bottom hole.
New IA bushings are on the way from
Bandit4x4. I'm checking with Dave to see if the L&P CL bearings can be replaced through him as well.
The tie rod ends I had fun with because either Napa and Checker have their inner and outer part #'s incorrect or the previous owner flipped the TRE-sdjuster-TRE causing my reverse threading issues. I didn't check the dealer's parts because they wanted twice the price ($220/pair).
I'll get a second opinion on the lower BJ's since they're so hard to get into.
