My Daughter's vehicle, so I'll have to relay info back and forth.
Here's what she says happened;
ok, i was driving and i thought that i wasn't going as fast as my speedometer said i was. i looked a couple more times over the next mile and that's when i noticed the needle dropping. i pushed the gas pedal harder and it was hard to push. i pulled over and put it in park, my gauges starting going crazy and when i turned the key toward off but not all the way off is when my dashboard lights went crazy. so i turned it all the way off, when i tried starting it it just clicked like you heard.

I towed it off the road and did a quick look under the hood. Drivebelt is still where it should be. Battery cables felt nice and tight on battery. We did not try to jump start it last night. Currently waiting to see if she's going to have it towed to a garage or not, plus she's in church right now and has the keys..

Currently digging thru here looking for ideas..
