It's running again. But still don't know what the whole issue is/was.
As I was getting ready to head over to it, she called me saying another friend was trying to jump-start it. Wanted me to bring a bit of gas so she could just get it back home and make it to the gas station tomorrow.
(she says she was low on gas, but not low enough to run out, and was on her way to the gas station when it died yesterday. and that she's drove it with the gage reading lower than it was)
Anyways, long time with jumpers hooked up, it finally wanted to crank over and start, and she's headed home now.
I'm not buying that she was out of gas myself.
Since when does running out of gas cause a vehicle to not crank, as if the battery was low/dead? She says she didn't crank on it, just tried to re-start it once and it did the clicky-clicky-clicky of a low battery. That's when she called me..
We didn't swap the battery, and I didn't check voltage with the DMM. But dash gage said it was charging, so,,,???
Did notice lots of corrosion on the + post of the battery. Told her how to clean that up.
So, I'm still at a loss on what actually is going on with it.
To cold and windy out there today for any of this stuff.......
