its not only a question of "if you offroad" its also a question of , do you pull a trailer, do you drive on uneven roads, to you make turns fast, slow, etc... everyday driving on road has to be considered when you buy shocks, If your driving habbits are slow and steady then you can pretty much just buy any shock you can get for a low price.

Not sure what you mean by "Maybe just something colored should be fine." but if you mean as long as it looks good its fine,.. thats the wrong approach if the X is something your looking to hold on to and use for a while.
