I'm hoping the experts here can lend a little help. I am an Ex-Xterra owner (2001). I loved the truck and it was stolen from me(still bitter!) several years ago. I'm in the market for another one and have a few questions.

I am looking for something in the 2005-2010 range most likely, but wanted to get people's opinion's on 1st vs 2nd Gen. I had my last X up until the 2nd Gen just came out so my experience with them is fairly limited.

Questions:

- Opinions on main differences between the 1st and 2nd Gen's? Keeping in mind I will be wheeling.
- Gas mileage differences?
- Anything else I should be aware of?
