I'm new to the forum, as I have just taken over my wife's 01 Xterra. I'm wondering if a full sheet of plywood, 4x8, will fit in the rear? I know the hatch will likely not close, but will the width fit?
This was supposed to be a temporary take over, but I'm really getting to like the truck. I'm even thinking of getting a new Xterra to replace the old one, as it now has about 180k miles on it.
Do you mean literally one sheet (Which can be turned diagonally, etc...) or a stack of them?
Have you considered taking a tape measure and measuring the width of the cargo area and door opening?
You probably have a roof rack that fits them as well, which is where I tend to carry them.

PS - I ended up with MY '01 X the same way...I borrowed my wife's because my jeep was too small, and she never got it back.
