1. Since your analog speedometer is never correct (usually a little high), you can use a GPS unit to get the most accurate speed setting. If you are the one driving, it's best you have someone else perform the calibration; so you don't get into an accident.
2. If you're going to be moving the scangauge from one car to another, don't forget to write down all your settings. Otherwise, it will be very frustrating to have to do it over again.
3. When you plug the gauge back into your X, you can go to "fillup" twice. The second time it will allow you to change the offset percentage, so you won't have to wait. Consumption will be accurate right away, but it won't know how much gas you have left until you do a real fill-up.
