The shrockworks has 3 mounting points to the frame, the 4crawlers only 2

They are about 1/3 or more lighter than the EOE's (I had the eoe's for about 2 weeks). My only dislike is that they mount close to the pinch seam. I have a couple of dents in the seam from hard impact. Other than that, I like 'em.

Just how much experience do you have in metal work and fabrication anyway? It seems everyone is an armchair fabricator when it comes to message boards. Everyone KNOWS exactly the right way to do things even though they have never fabricated anything. My knowledge and experience regarding this subject comes from one of the leading manufacturers of competition off-road vehicles, both modified and built from the ground up. But then again, they could just be incredibly stupid, thus, making you correct.

Actually, I was advocating a view that there isn't only one way to do things. People slag on square tube all the time as being inadequate (e.g., for inner or exo cages) and it can be fine. For most people, differences in round or square tube are completely irrelevant, except for cost and weight.
Of course, "one of the leading manufacturers of competition off-road vehicles, both modified and built from the ground up" hasn't told me shit so what do I know.

There's a big difference between something being adequate, an optional viewpoint, or "can be fine", versus one type of material not being "stronger" than the other. The material can be proven through scientific testing. Your above comments offer a scenario which is completely different than << "I don't agree that round tube is stronger. I think a certain walled steel is the same whether round or square" >>.

Ahhh, so sue me. I'll admit that my first post was off. Round tube is stronger than square lb per lb. But in the real world, especially in the real world of IFS trucks, people aren't running on the edge where .18 greater strength really makes a difference. Cheap, square tube works.

No need to unmount them. A clear shot would be perfect.

I opened a new thread titled "Slider Mounting Modification" for everyone to see. Let me know what you think.
