I would recommend the Luxor in Vegas... nice place, great breakfast buffet in basement... Also, if you are driving the X, check out Red Rock Park and if you are up for light offroading there is an unofficial OHV park just north of Red Rock (no marked turn off but you will see small red rocks up on the hill... but they really aren't small!)

Enjoy Vegas, be prepared for the heat!
