Anyone wheel with Michelin X Radial LT or Michelin Select LT tires? I have stock General tires and hope to join a trail ride in the next few months but the requirements are 31 inch tires. I wish I could get the BFGs but they are a little out of my price range considering my Xterra isn't even a year old. Thanks.

Do the metric conversion for your stock tires. Anything over 30.5 inches of diameter is a 31.
BTW, I didn't know you could get a supercharged XE in 2002.

For the price of Michelins you could get some Bridgestone AT/MT or look for some Maxxis Buckshot Mudders...

I did look up my stock tires on the companies website and they are listed as 30.7 inches in diameter. Therefore my stock tires would qualify as 31s? However I am not sure how well they will perform on a trail.

Me neither. I am still not entirely sure it is an XE. I have 16 inch wheels and the SE has 17 inch right? Plus the wheels are a different style on the SE. But I do have the supercharger (damn gas expense). You figure it out.

The Michelin tires were around $129 each.

Maxxis Buckshot Mudders are less than $100.00 each. Great tire!

My X is a XE/SC. It was an option but not very popular and that is why it is gone for 03. Look for 16" silver wheels, silver step rails and roof rack and also the surrounds of the headlights are gray and not a silver color.

I have an XE-S/C also. I thought it was the best bang for the buck. I mounted 265/75R16 Interco Trxus on it with the stock suspension and had no problems. They were $114 a piece at the time from 4 Wheel Parts web site. Mounting was another $100 for five tires. Which I took in trade for my stock tires that had 1100 miles on them, so I didn't pay anything for mounting or used tire disposal. You should get a spare at least in the same size if not the same tread. Running mismatched tires on the rear can ruin the LSD very quickly.

Edited to add: I blew 2 in one week (1 from trail damage and one being stupid) and replaced the set with the next size up. At the time I had 17K miles on them and only expected to get 25K miles out of them before replacing them. You should factor in the expected mileage into your budget to see if getting a more expensive tire that lasts longer is worth it to you. I love the traction I get out the Trxus, but I expect to go through a set every year with my current mileage. Since I got them 4 other guys in my club switched to them from stock or BFG AT's.
