Well after a few weeks of research we decided to get rid of one of our X's.

We traded my wifes 2000 X in for a 2009 Toyota Corolla S.

If you havent driven a corolla lately and are looking for a economical compact car check them out they have come a long way since the 90's lol.

I'm keeping my X for towing and camping duty but I rarely drive it anymore as I have the bike.

So we are down one but not out smile

Did they change them from the '08 Corolla? I drove an '08 in Miami a couple weeks ago with only 3k miles on it. the automatic transmission on this one was very jump. Other than that, it was a nice ride with enough power. Sorry to hear you decided to let an Xterra go, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. At least you've still got one! Enjoy the new ride.

Hey Lightning,

The 09 has a few changes its slightly wider, has a small increase in HP and TQ and slightly better fuel mileage. The power steering is now electric motor driven not hydraulic no pumps or hoses or PS fluid.
Has side airbags standard and tire pressure monitoring.

The salesman said 37 total changes from the 08 I havent found them all and may never lol.

It rides great, very very quiet and smooth I like the trip computer it shows instant mpg, avg mpg, avg speed, distance empty, outside temp etc. It was funny driving home looking at the instant mpg showing 42mpg when I'm used to seeing 15mpg on my scanguage in my X.

I think its going to be a great little car hope I get to drive it sometime after today smile

Here are a couple of pics.

The new Hondas are pretty sharp. I mean, does this look like an Accord? [Freak]

The first time my wife and I saw one of those new Accord coupes was pretty comical. She sees it sitting at a light as we're rounding a corner and, thinking it was some new BMW or something, she says, "Oh, look at Joe Cool in his...Honda?"

The sedan is no slouch either...

Boy, you could definitely see some Mazda3 influence in that Corolla.

Not a bad looking car at all.

Nice looking Corolla! They have come a long ways since my sister's old '90 Corolla! I'm rockin a '07 Civic EX I bought last year new for work, since it gets nearly 40mpg on the highway, and that's where I do all my driving to work.

Got any pics of the sheppard? Love those dogs!
