i created and maintain a website, and my index.html page has twice been updated without my knowledge to contain the following line, after the tag. it is supposedly downloading a virus onto others' machines (i run firefox, the recipients run IE):



has anyone experienced this or know how to keep it from happening?

You've got a serious problem if your page is changing without you doing it.

I would immediately contact your host, and let them know of the problem. If it is a shared server, it could have been compromised by someone else running an insecure php application. phpBB, PHPMyAdmin, etc are all security holes if not kept up to date.
