Manual hubs are cheap. When my automatic hubs fail, I'm switching to manual.

Same issue here, last night i pulled the hub cover off to get access to the bearings which I was replacing only to find out when I removed the piece gnob is referring to, it was broken, on both sides! Dealer said I have to buy the whole cover, that they don't sell just the one piece, also called "fixed cam assembly" I believe. The cost for one auto-hub is $197 from the dealer!

Look out Warn, here I come! smile Ordered my premium manual hub kit which should be here Wednesday. Cost $180 for the set, and I'll post again when i get'em installed. Does anyone know of a link to converting/installing auto to locking hub?

I'm not all that upset about replacing the hub since I'm getting much better ones than what I had, but it does make me worry how cheaply the factory would make such a seemingly easy part to in fact make durable.

Dang, had to really search for this. Should be in the How Tos but the site Admin is a slacker. [Finger]
