Is it true that all Canadian XE's have a limited slip? I know for the U.S. only the SE's had them standard or if you had the sport package or enthusiast package you would get it. But my 02 XE has neither one of your packages and it has the orange LSD tag on the diff..

As far as I know, yes. The same way we never got any X unless it was a 4WD. Hell, in 2000, there was only one X for us, no XE, SE, or any packages.

You can always lift up the entire rear end and then spin a tire. If one goes one way and the other goes the other then it's an LSD from what I understand is what should happen.

Hmm isn't it that if both tires turn in the same direction that it's an LSD, The tires spin the same way as it would if there was a locker in place. I was always under the impression that if the tires spin in opposite directions that it was an open diff.

If he has a LSD diff tag, he's got an LSD...so this one's a no brainer.



And, yeah, they spin the same way on an LSD, as the only way they don't, is if you exceed the break away torque limit, and the clutch pack lets go.
