Very sad day for basketball and sports in general This guy built basketball in a way and is one of the most influential personalities in basketball history as well as sport history.

A great Basketball man - but an even greater man.



There is a statue of Red outside the Quincy marketplace by Faneuil Hall in Boston. On the day after his passing, fans began leaving flowers on and around it.


The Celtics will be wearing black Shmrock patches with the word Red (in green color) on their home and away Jersey's this season

and have petitioned the NBA to have his likeness imbedded in the Garden's parquet floor instead of the Celtics logo at Halfcourt later in this season.
