We should be asshamed cause Top Gear is a popular show watched by lots and lots of people worldwide. The show didn't create anything we didn't already know - but it reinforced it pretty good.

Those British assholes got the reaction they were looking for. The reaction they were hoping for. (Plus how do we know the redneck reaction wasn't staged by the show itself?. It's television and very little on television is real).

The people who should be ashamed of themselves are those people from the TV show. They deliberately wanted to portray this country in a certain manner.

They could have just as easily gone to San Francisco and painted signs like "Bush/Cheney", "The Environment Sucks", or "I Support Israel" and the left wing lunatics there would react very negatively.

But, they wanted to make a specific portrayal of this country.

For a TV show I would probably do it.

However, Don't hold your breath waiting for that British TV show to do something like that.

I sincerely doubt that they would chase down the cars and pelt them with rocks.

Instead they'd throw lattes and patchouli bottles at you. Then they'd wipe their ass with the American flag.

Pretty close though. We have an underground railroad, of sorts, set up at the bridges. As soon as you pay your toll it scans your tag number, traces you voting record, cross references you medical history and then alerts our liberal media. We are all issued pagers and whomever is closest gets alerted as to your location and we are then dispatched to block the exits on the 101 and 280. Its called the RDS; the Redneck Defense System. Pretty high tech stuff, Google and that type o' shit.
