If you are the original owner of a Saab with 1 million miles, you get a free one.

That reminds me of a "Married with Children" episode and the Dodge. [LOL]

That episode is a classic! laugh

My favorite quote from that episode is "Hello Mr. Bundy!" - Voice of the automated telephone operator after Al spends 72 hours on the phone waiting for the correct extension to push.

I'm going to have to do a search and see if there's any threads on this show. I just wish FX showed it more often!

Time to find an old Saab at the scrap yard and run up the Odo with a drill smile

You'd need to fix the title as well right?

How many could there be with the original owner? I'll say less then 10.

Married With Children was the best TV show ever!

Toyota had a similar campaign back when the Tacoma was introduced. If you had a pickup with a shitload of miles and a story to tell, they'd replace your truck for free, then your truck would sit in an exhibit at a dealership.

The dealership I bought my truck at had an early 80s stock 4x4 pickup that belonged to a rural delivery guy. He'd put something like 750,000 miles on the original engine, on mostly dirt roads, in all weather conditions, in the mountains. It certainly was a strong selling point for me.

I'd think that finding an originally owned million mile Saab is a pretty safe bet, on Saab's part. I doubt they'll be breaking the bank on giveaway cars anytime soon.

You know what would really suck?

This guy gets a new Saab to replace his '89. If I'm not mistaken, Saab was still an independent company in '89.

So he gets a new one. And it, being a GM era Saab, just plain old sucks - always in for service and whatnot.

Can he get his old car back?
