Gotta follow the history! The show is fantastic. Senator Hearst.

Unrelated line of the night:

"i'm going to take the air."

"should I accompany you?"

"my destination is beneath you"

I love the writing.

Well good news, fellow Deadwood fans.

Milch's latest show, the abomination known as John From Cincinnati, has been cancelled by HBO.

Hopefully this does two things: frees up this guy's time so he can concentrate on finishing something great that he started, and sends a message to HBO that they can't expect people to invest in a show - then pull the rug out from under it for budgetary reasons and not expect any fallout.

Really? I tried and tried and tried to get into it, but I couldn't! The whole time I watched I was all like, "What's going on??????"

I watched the first two episodes and felt the exact same way you did.

The whole X Files/Lost genre of doling out plot details extremely slow while tossing in a pinch of supernatural hocus pocus just wasn't working here. Maybe we're just getting tired of this particular formula. I don't watch Lost anymore for that very reason. It just goes on and on and on and on.
