They are offering a commemorative 82nd Airborne .45 ACP with 3 hi-cap mags and a host of other features for $725. My other 1911 style is a Colt. Haven't bought a gun in years, but figured I should probably grab this one up.

Yes, they make a very nice reliable firearm. You can go to www.TheFiringLine.com/forums to research others opinions.

I didn't know you were 82nd? How's fayettnam? smile

Wanted a no frills reliable home defense/range gun.

Picked up a Ruger P95. Feeds anything I throw at it and is decently accurate. To big for me to CCW though, but I got a decent .380 for that.

Finally pulling the trigger (Pun intended) and picking up my Ruger GP100 .357 revolver. Been drooling over it at the gun club for months.

I just rented a gp100 at the range about two weeks ago in my search for a home/range gun. I ended up with the P95 as I already have an sp101 in .357. The gp100 wasn't a stretch from that so I opted for the semi. The GP100 is a tank of a gun and top notch IMHO.

I already have a pair of Glocks for the range. Glock 23 .40 for Concealed carry and my Glock 17 9mm - which I shoot most with.

Wanted a revolver instead of a semi-auto this time and the Ruger just looks crazily well built compared to the S&W equivalent.

I had a Glock 26 and regret ever selling it. My next purchase is either going to be an FNH 575 or the Glock 17. I will own a 17 sooner or later, it's a great pistol.

Add a CZ-75, Sig Sauer P239, and a Ruger Single Six to the list also smile

Eventually I'll pick up an AR15 if they aren't banned by then.

Thanks guys, three posts before a complete hijack - gonna need a pistol around here to keep my thread. laugh
I avoid F-nam like the plague. I live up in Sanford. Only go south for bagpipe practice. Of course, right now, I wouldn't mind going down for a drink at the Highlander - beats NA beer and blowing sand.

Nice. Do people still hang out at Acapulco Lake? When I was there they had the water skiing on a pulley system I believe!

Oops: Acapulco Lake didn't have that. It had the high cliff jump and wasn't really an official "public" swimming hole from what I recall? I know I went off that damn cliff several times......

I have a Glock 23 and a SigArms P239. smile Love 'em both. SIG is an awesome crafted gun; never had a problem with it.

My dad owns a sig p239 and the first time I shot it, I made a smiley face on the target at 25'. One of the smoothest pistols I ever shot.

Word. Cannot go wrong with SigArms.

My brother has an HK in 40cal that is real nice and smooth, but was expensive ($900+) I think.

I'm a big fan of Sig. Looking into picking up a Sig 9mm in the future. Right now I'm driving tacks with a new Springfield XD .45 acp tactical and it is awesome. Very light but has a manageable recoil (a lot due to I got the 5" barrel).

SigArms all the way. I own the 228 (9mm) and the 229 (.40 Equinox). Both are amazing and live to their "To hell and back reliability" motto.

Great aftermarket addition to the 229, Crimson Trace laser grip. Well made product!

Guy at work has a Sig 9mm - I shot a clip through it at the range. V.Accurate gun, just doesn't really feel right to me after using Glocks. I think it's the grip angle or somethin! Nice gun tho - I shoot better groups with that thing than my Glock 17 at the same distance. Just doesn't feel comfortable to shoot.
