Hey everyone, so I am new to the forum and i just had a little question. Does anyone use the X to sleep in when going camping or anything? We just bought a Pro 4x and we're planning on just sleeping in the back when we go camping and stuff, but i was just wondering what size of air matress would fit in the back? I dont want to go out and buy one and have it not fit, so if any of you have used an air matress in your xterra, what size? thank you very much!

The overall space in my 08 with seats down is roughly 44W x 65L. I have a trifold foam futon that fills the space almost perfectly when open and stacks neatly into a 44x23 stack when folded. I use this camping and find it more comfortable than an air mattress and a lot less trouble (no inflating and deflating).

Oops, forgot to add that the futon is about 4" thick. And you mention "we" - no matter how you cut it, it's going to be a tight fit. I'm 5'10" and have to sleep diagonally unless I find a way to use the flat folding front passenger seat space as a pillow area. Good luck!

only problem with sleeping in the back is where do you put the gear you had back there while you are sleeping.
