My wife brought me home a mini maglite and a bunch of bungees today just to make me smile. What are some unique ways ya'll use bungees in your X's?

No unique ways really...just to strap stuff down in the back so it doesn't go flying all over the place... I got the adjustable ones....pretty sweet.

I generally use them to tie down uncooperative hitchhikers that I pick up late at night.

Made an AWESOME interior roof net with a pair of bungees and velcro loops - fully adjustable and ORANGE to match the X!

LOL Ya'll are nuts! Yea, I figured I would just start throwing stuff in my X just so I can strap them down. I was wandering if I could make some kind of make-shift interior roof thing. Guess I'll need to find some netting first. Anyway, I get excited easily, so the maglite and bungees made my week. Guess I'll go start strapping stuff down. I'll make sure to leave a few out for any hitchhikers I pick up Pumpkinhead, tell me about your interior net. Sounds like a good project.

Thanks Pumpkinhead! I like that Orange to match your X! After seeing that, I went out and went a little Bungee crazy. I bungeed the heck out of my interior roof with about 15 differnt bungees. It looks sort of like a spider web, but I think it's pretty cool, and it will certainly due to hold larger items. I'm thinking about using the cast net I use for fishing somehow as a net so smaller stuff can fit too. Maybe I'll do some cutting of the net, then weave the bungee through it. I think I'll also get some velcro and run the velcro through the ends of the net to pull it tight. My bungees are all different colors (based on size), so it doesn't look as good as yours, but it will difinately work. Someone stop me, I'm hooked on the bungees!!!!

...as long as you're not bunged on hookers!!!
Just a joke, couldn't pass it up. Glad you like my net. I just carry a fleece blanket, a couple of fleece jackets and the occasional bike helmet, etc...
Cheers - Pumpkinhead

I used mine recently on vacation as "crossbars" for the luggage bag spider (the ultimate bungee):

I use my bungies all the time...I use some to strap all my stuff up on the Raingler Interior Mini-Net and up on the Gear Basket, I added some Metal S-Loops inside each corners of the Gear Basket and with bungies through each Metal Loop I could easily tie stuff up in the Basket instead of using the Basket Net...very convienet...and I also use them on the Safari Rack and to tie stuff up inside the cargo area...
