I just got a new X a few days ago and let me just say I love it. Then of course I found this site and it seemingly has everything I will ever need to know about my X. So I just wanted to say hello to everyone! I guess I gotta meet more X owners and join a club or something like that huh?
I was already looking into getting a lift for my X and decided that Calmini is the only way to go. As I was exploring more I found that Calmini is located in Bakersfield, CA where I go to school...I don't know if that is a bad or good thing quite yet...
Inevitably I will buy more parts but save in shipping costs...does that make it even? Also, if anyone ever wants to or is going to visit Calmini here, I will be the first to introduce you to one of the best microbreweries out there...Lengthwise! Its located in Bakersfield as well no more than a stones throw away from where Calmini is. What a great town...Calmini and Lengthwise...what else does one need?

I just purchased a new X last week, so I guess we are in the same boat. I am madly in love with mine already- but then, I was madly in love with the X in general prior to purchasing one.

Did you have any specific reasons for buying an XTerra?

Brad, I see that you are from Bakersfield you should join SCCX we have at least 1 Xcursion every month and we are always looking for new members. You should join us on Sept. 12th for a run to Elliott Mine and Smugglers Cave in San Diego. Welcome and have fun!

Bakersfield? I've walked the streets there a time or two...

Check out the link in my signature for info on a group of us from Visalia. We try to do one trip a month, Sierras in the summer, and some Mojave area desert in the winter. For that we pass right thru Bakersfield. We just got back from our August trip... With mixed results, for the first time a trail seems to have gotten the better of us, not only did we have to take some bypasses around some of the stuff, but my X is currently at the dealer to have a hub replaced... Don't know how that happened... Any way, welcome to the board, and feel free to contact me if you'd like to join us on the trails, heck we may contact you regarding the Microbrews in Balersfield next time we pass thru.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone! I am going to have to definately meet you SCCX guys for some trips, however not until after Sept. 13th though as I am headed to Spain till then with the family.
As for the microbrew...yeah, anytime just drop me an e-mail and I can meet you there for dinner or something, the food and beer is hard to beat. Anyway, I am excited to go on my first trip with my X! I liked it before I bought one now I love the thing...its just plain addicting...
