No more than 30 miles or so. I wouldn't do it because running the fuel pump dry (it's cooled by the gasoline around it) may damage it.

light come on and everytime when filling up there is a minimum of 2 gallons left in there. Heck even at 15mpg you get your 30 miles but my rule is 20 miles tops when the light is on.

I usually go until the light comes on. Takes 15.5 - 16.5 to fill so you have plus or minus 3 gallons left at that point.

Botton line, no need to push it.

When my light comes on I still have 5 gallons left. Sometimes less depending on how long I go before filling up but the norm is 5 gallons right after it lights up.

I know that I can go 65 miles after the light comes on if I need to.

My Gen 2 X has about a 5 gallons in it when the light comes on. The most I can get in is about 16 gallons when the light comes on and the needle is almost on E but with 5 gallons left it is about a quarter of tank off. I dont know if it common among the Gen 2 but it does not bother me too much.. better to be a quarter tank off to the good than to think I have gas and run out.
