My rear wiper droops.

There seems to be a lot of play in the wiper when it's at rest. Anybody else have the same issue? Any idea for a fix?

I haven't done anything yet, I thought I'd ask first. I searched, but came up with everything relating to rear wiper problems but this.

Where it is:

Where I'd like it to be:

Please ignore the big ugly guy with the very gay raised pinky reflected in the window. laugh

If the rear is anything like the front, the wiper arm attaches to a splined shaft on the wiper motor. I think there's a plastic cover/cap over the spot where the wiper arm bolts to the wiper motor shaft. Remove the cover, loosen the nut that holds the arm, then you can adjust the arm. The only sucky part is that the increments on the spline might move the arm too much.

ETA: just looked at mine, ^ those directions will do what you want. Make sure to loosen the nut quite a bit, and that you reseat the arm such that you don't crush any of the splines. smile

Yep, there's a nut under the plastic cover at the pivot point of the arm. I've not removed mine but as stated, it should be similar to the front.

Thanks for the replies, I'll give it a shot this weekend.
