And basking in all of it's HD goodness?

Well, now might be the time.

$200 fathers day rebate

It's $600 at Costco.com .

Makes it $400 after rebate - now it's finally getting reasonable ($1000 was just nuts!). You can also submit your rebate on-line - check the rebate form.

Finally, if you already own a Series 2 with lifetime (Ahem!) the mutli-service discount DOES apply to the Series 3 - you get $6 a month off any of the listed monthly plans at tivo.com. The catch? Don't activate over the web, you have to call into Tivo and ask for the multi-service discount.

I'm so tempted. Comcrap wants to charge me $12 for HD and $12 for the first cable card - the second is free (how gracious of them). Not sure I want to take the plunge... but I'm seriously getting sick of Standard Definition on my HDTV...

At least your cable provider will provide a cable card. Cox here in Phoenix don't even do Cable Cards frown

Hmm, that's interesting since it's FCC mandated that they support them...

Wow - wasn't aware of that. I guess the FCC rules go into affect July 1st tho. Bet your ass I'm gonna call Cox on July 1st and get a cable card in that case. No doubt they will still charge as much as they do for a cable box tho frown

Just like all good things....they have to support them, but they don't have to make it easy or affordable to get one.
