You could say I'm an insider on this one. With current banking laws, it's illegal NOT to lend to these people provided they identify themselves and fulfill Patriot Act requirements for customer identification. If you want to bitch, don't bitch about the company. Write your idiot congressmen and get them to change the laws. If banks don't lend to them, they violate fair credit laws and the community reinvestment act.

Other banks lend to this population too. BofA takes all the heat because they've made a consious marketing effort to provide Secured card products to this population. Secured Card - that means secured with cash as collateral.

My local newspaper reported this morning that the legislature of SC is looking to tighten up their policy on illegals. Apparently Georgia changed their laws recently and it had a positive effect on driving illegals out of town. Here's to hoping we get some reform here.

I don't have a clue who I'm voting for. I will say this...at least Huckabee says what he means and means what he says. Romney's recent wishy-washiness is disgusting to me as a Christian, but also to me as a voter. If the guy's not willing to just say out loud what his faith requires of him, he deserves to lose and be outed as the fake he is.

Chuck has the right to endorse anyone he wants.

But, Chuck is a born-again Christian and he is obviously voting with his bible and not his head when endorsing Huckabee.

Huckabee is a disaster and would be a huge disaster for this country.

I don't think he is going to get the nomination.

The media is building up Huckabee because Hillary would beat him easily.

As a Christian myself, I have to say this...thinking through/with the Bible is exactly what we're supposed to do. So I guess my point is, don't expect a truly devout Christian to do otherwise. It's what we're called and required to do. It's why God wrote the book.

There's not much that will beat Hillary. Obama won't. Edwards is a footnote. She's got the nomination as far as I can tell. So it's her and probably Giuliani in a runoff. Then the question becomes, is America "progressive" enough to vote in a woman?

If Huckabee is that devout, he belongs behind a pulpit in a church somewhere, not in the White House.

I guess what's depressing me the most about the presidential candidates is that there's no one worth voting for. No one. It's gotten so that there's no good candidate. It's no longer about finding the best person for the job. Now it's about rooting through the mountains of crap to find the candidate that just sucks less than the others. And then the ads...oy :rolleyes: . Instead of candidates saying clearly, "here's what I believe and here's what I will do for America" it's all mud-slinging now. It's all about "look how crappy my opponents are". No one's raising the bar. They're all just pointing at how low the others have set it, allowing themselves to have a lower standard to exceed. So... is it possible for us to not have a winner?
