Soooooo I was having a discussion with my coworkers yesterday and we were talking about plumbing and the subject of the old Roto Rooter commercials came up, and I said, "Yeah, remember their pink vans?!?" and no one seemed to recall. Didn't they used to have those? Now they are white with a blue and red logo. But I SWEAR I remember seeing pink vans when I was little!

Tell me I am not making that up.

Yeah, I guess it's a stupid random question. No one really cares.

The Roto-Rooter vans around here have always been white with their blue and red logo.

I don't ever remember pink vans.

"Call Roto-Rooter, that's the name, and away goes trouble down the drain"

Does somebody need a hug? [Freak]

I actually conducted a web search looking for any evidence that the Roto Rooter vans were pink, no luck. Guess I should have responded to that effect.

I did find this, however, which you may find of interest:

My contribution to this thread...

Really Random Question...

Is "knob and tube" wiring REALLY that much of a fire hazard?

Discuss...

I'm loving the new "Flex-i-poly" piping for interior plumbing vs. copper. Any downside?

The Roto Rooter vans tend to look pink if you drink a lot of cough syrup in the morning.
At least that's the only time I've seen pink ones. Took a while to make the connection.

Like anything else, the downside of "PEX" plastic piping is the common point of failure which would be the fittings.

There was a large class action lawsuit filed about a particular type of fitting used for PEX.

The upside of PEX is that it is flexible and you can make "homeruns" from manifold to manifold. Therefore eliminating the need for numerous fittings and connectors that would be required to run copper.

Without a manifold to manifold type system, I would argue against PEX.

Another upside is that copper is getting more expensive all the time.

Does she ever "ACKS" you a question?

Haywood Banks wrote a hilarious song about the ethnic destruction of the English language called "Billy's gonna AX her mom" or something. Very funny stuff.

No but "with" is "witch" and "streamline" is "sleamline" and "glimpse " is "glampse"...etc.

Oh I have a whole list of these and it keeps growing. We're going to publish it one day. When we no longer work here. smile

Two points here.

First, it's called an ASTERISK, so how would that word be pronounced? AS-ter-isk. Or if you're in the computer world, it's called a "splat".

Second, I've got a 3/8" length of pex tubing from the front to the back of my X right along the inside of the right frame rail (securely mounted) for running wires from the front to the back. That way the wires are protected from rocks and dirt and they are out of sight and kept neat. Thoughts?
