Acute Myelocytic Leukemia, the M4 is the worst, my mom was just diagnosed yesterday. Flu like symptoms took her to the Doc., blood work was done and Doc. calls a day latter and tells her to go get admitted to the Hosp. Damn This on the heels of my Grandmothers (my moms mom) death.

Really dont know what to say. Paceing around like a caged animal. I knew somthing like this would happen. My Mom and I have a poor relationship and that carries to my Family. I told her a year or so ago that we really need to hash things out before its to late.

So much time wasted.

Consider yourself lucky though. You got a warning and can now talk to her before it's too late. Be thankful for that. I tried for years to work things out with my mom and it never worked. Now it's too late. So, stop reading this, get up, go to the phone and call her. RIGHT NOW! NOTHING IN YOUR DAY IS MORE IMPORTANT RIGHT THIS MINUTE!

My former roommate of 10 years just received the same diagnosis, actually, about a week and a half ago. Same scenario; flu symptoms that wouldn't go away, went in to the hospital for a check-up. She's 34.

They gave her good odds and strong treatment prospects. Hopefully that's the case for your mom.
