Hey everyone, so I am new to the forum and i just had a little question. Does anyone use the X to sleep in when going camping or anything? We just bought a Pro 4x and we're planning on just sleeping in the back when we go camping and stuff, but i was just wondering what size of air matress would fit in the back? I dont want to go out and buy one and have it not fit, so if any of you have used an air matress in your xterra, what size? thank you very much!

I've used my thermarest basecamp pad (like a tiny air mattress) and it works great.

I think I put a "full" size regular blowup back there once and it worked okay - but it reduces your headroom significantly

If you have the 05 and newer off road it comes standard with the fold flat passenger seat. I would still use some kind of air mattress cause it isnt really flat, but it would work fine.

I've used a Queen/Double inflatable in my 03. No head room and it curled on the sides, but it was sure comfy. I now use a thermarest backpack pad and backpacking inflatable sleeping pad. Plenty warm enough to leave back open on 30 degree nights and ample comfort. I'm scrounging garage sales for a used 4 person tent I can modify to cover the back hatch.

Find me an RV that can go where my X can!
