We just returned from 4 days of camping and wheeling in Plumas. We camped at Little Grass Valley Lake and ventured on day trips into Stag Point, Cleghorn Bar and Poker Flat via Howland Flat. This is primarily higher gold country (5K el) with several trails leading into the Wild and Scenic Feather River Canyon which a magnificant place to get away from it ALL. Most of the trails are stock friendly (rails and guards gone, of course) with some that will challenge all. It's not hard core rock crawling, in fact the trails tend to be fairly smooth...but some are STEEP with lose rock. The area is gorgeous and has great camping facilities for all.
