That's a problem that I'll have especially if I do a sas/lift+37's...I won't be able to get inside the garage even if I aired down the tires..don't want to leave it outside since it'll end up missing/stripped..

Congrats to the new homeowners. As long as my brother isn't getting married, I figure he won't be kicking me out of the house. As long as I only have to pay him $410/mo and I get my own bathroom AND I get to park in the garage (thank God he has a behemoth Hemi Durango), I won't be looking to move any closer to my job in So SF.
Of course, if Genentech's stock would triple or quadruple over the next couple years, I could then use my ESP shares as a downpayment. Hehe. I'll have to stay over on "this" side of the Bay, though. I *never* want to have to cross a bridge to get to work.

Thanks for the kudos guys! KJ, welcome to paper work hell! And congrats on the house! Mike, I've been eyeing your place ever since you posted it on 4x4Parts. It's really nice and you can't beat that price...if only it were remotely closer to my work...anyways congrats! Sonny, Aurora I might retire to, but I've been to AZ and I know for a fact the devil lives there! :p Dean, that thing rocks! I know where I'm going to do my clutch job on the Talon.

Wow, that's a nice piece of equipment, Dean! Does it require anchoring? While I don't imagine it moving with 3000 or 4000 lbs on it, I was just wondering if it still needed it. Plus, I guess it might be a tad impractical if you couldn't move it around in your own garage where space may be a premium. I suppose I just answered my own question. Hehe.

Dean, that is what I've been looking for for my 3rd car garage... no garage opener. Where did you find that at?

Sonny- Yes, I relocated (moved up) the garage door opener. I had to add a couple of cross-beam 2x8's between the rafters so I could bolt the brackets up higher. Mike- I got the lift (Bend-Pak MD6-XP) for about $1580 (including CA sales tax and shipping to local Yellow Freight yard) from Automotive Service Equipment . They had the out-the-door best prices I found. Also, check out this guy\'s garage. If I had a larger (and taller) garage I probably would have gotten a 2-post or 4-post lift. Here\'s another option to consider. You might want to consider a 2 or 4-post lift since you'll probably have adequate space in your new garage and a 2-post will allow you complete access to the undercarriage. My lift won't provide access to the drivetrain (tcase, tranny, etc.) but it will serve well for minor maintenance.

I thought about the 2 or 4 post lifts, but I really need to justify spending the money for one of those since I can just use my lift at work. $2000 will mod up the pathy pretty nice

Heck, man if you have access to a lift and a shop already, why spend money to put a lift in your garage?

Right now I'm only 6 miles away from my work, when I move I'll be 30 miles away, so it would just be a matter of convience for me. Plus I'm trying to set up my dream garage in the new house as much as my budget will let me.I'm going to also get a welder and try to learn welding for some custom fab stuff and a possible SAS on the pathy after the wife gets a Murano. I can't tie up my rack at work with my personal projects either.

I want a real garage! I think I'm going to by some land about 5 miles out from where I currently am, and in a couple of years build at least a three car garage on it with an apartment above it. Sell the townhouse, move in and use the townhouse equity to build the main house. Then I have guest quarters or can rent it out. 12' ceilings in the garage and at least one 8' garage door so I can bring a lifted X in Well, that's the dream anyway. I've started casing the tax rolls and looking forward to the next tax auction
