Who has had them installed and how much did it cost. I have the money for the gears but need to find out how much more I need to set aside. The gears may just have to sit in the garage for a bit laugh . Did installion price include removal of t case.
Thanks kevin

I have heard install prices from $250 to $700.

The rear end shop in Santa Rosa has awesome prices. Maybe give them a call?

(707) 526-0200

Example:

Rear Locker --- $350 installed
Front Locker --- $400 installed

Kevin, PM Gary (Olebiker) I believe he found a place in Marin County that would do it.

The guy did mine and Marty's is no where to be found I think. BTW, pulling the t-case is doable, just keep in mind that it's very heavy (a second set of hands would help). Also drain both the t-case and tranny before doing anything, then remove the shifter boot up top, the rest I'm sure you can figure out.

Let me know if you have any questions. BTW, did you have your clutch replaced? If not, you might consider doing both at the same time.

The plan is to do the clutch at the same time. I think my problem clutch master and slave as I changed those out and it seems to be working much better. But Im still going to change the clutch out.

I received my gears from Calmini tonight. I'm trying to see if I can get Right Gear in Salinas to put them in my case for me. In the mean time I need to get the TC removed from the truck. Any takers on helping me pull my T-Case?

Please let me know what bribes are most effective. [Wave]

What, No Takers? Well it looks like I'll be doing this by my lonesome then. If anybody has any helpful hints or suggestion on how to get this thing out of my truck please chime in. I would especially like to know how Allen in CO is managing to pull these cases without removing the crossmember. If anybody knows please tell me what magic incantation to use.

rich, when are you doing this? i might be able to stop by, point, and yell a few words... [LOL]

BTW, no need to pull the cross member, but I do think you need to pull the t-bars (but not the exhuast for sure).

Huey,

Thanks for the offer. Are you available sometime this weekend? I'm hoping to have a gear shop lined up by the end of the week so I can start surgery this weekend.

Transfer case is out. I will drop it off tommorrow. And depending on the weather pull the tranny and put the new clutch in. We took the dog up to forrest hill a few weeks ago and he loved the snow.
