A few of you asked me to post some info this past weekend about a few things. Let me know of I missed anything.

Puma air compressors can be bought on eBay.

Refurbished Waeco Fridges

(I believe Dean and I have the CF-40DC. Just keep an eye on the site as inventory changes regularly)

All you ever wanted to know about manual hubs for your Xterra.

Yeah, Huy and I have this one: Waeco CF-40

The CF-40 can be powered by either AC or DC, so it works pretty good as an auxiliary home fridge. I ran it for about 3 months in my home to keep some Tulip bulbs cold for my wife.

They're also available (full-price, new) here .

I have this one: Engel MT60F-U1 (USA) mounted on the optional Sliding Tray.

The MT60F-U1 can be powered by either AC or DC, & it only uses a maximum of 3.6amps. I added qty-2 solar powered Sunsei Solar Powered Battery Chargers @ 2amps each. The Sunsei chargers are now at Orchard for about $28.95 each.

See URL's Below:

FYI the engels can run on 12v 110v and 220v

Not that it matters.

Andy, just a minor correction: the solar chargers are rated at 2 WATTS each, not 2 AMPS.

From the mfr website you linked to:
Quote:
Power Rating* 2W (135 mA @ 15V)
So, with 2 of the solar panels, at best you're only charging your battery with 0.27amps. To charge at 2 amps, you'd need at least 15 of those solar charger panels.

I use the 30 watt flex solar panel here to keep an extra yellow top charged and power the engle 43 quart. The solar panel keeps the battery charged and powering the refer nearly full time. Last night we did a test of the output of the solar panel at night, with no moon, just a coleman lattern...when the lattern was close, the output was over 2 volts, amps not known. When the lantern was about ten feet away, output dropped to about .45 volts. In full sun, the output is around 23 volts.
Today I tested the output in full sun and got 22.8 volts at 1.98 amps....I know, 'it's a 30 watt panel'. Just reporting what it read.

Yeah, I tested the panels that he was talking about. In full sun, the output was below even what they claim on the package.

Not good for anything other than maintaining a battery that was disconnected. Like a parked boat or somthing seasonal.

Wind turbines are actually not a bad thing to look in to. They generate a HUGE amount of power.
