I'm thinking about doing this trail this Saturday. I'll probably drive down to the area Friday night and either camp or stay in a motel and then head out early Saturday. Has anyone been out that way recently? This wil be my first backroad excursion, so is there anything I need to know about the area?

Where is this trail??

It's east of Bakersfield, part of it is in the Red Rock Canyon State Park. It's in Wells' book #70.
