Hey Everyone,

Well...I finally completed all my scheduled mods!

It all happened within the last 2 weeks...It was very busy 2 weeks for me...but "I'M ALL DONE",
for now...haha!

Here the last mod I completed as of Thursday
3 July!

6- Leaf Spring Inserts...Stiff

The leaf inserts are made by Fabtech for a Ford
F-150 4x4. They were 36" long and the center
bolt hole was offset 1 1/2". I had to cut one end
off each leaf spring to get the center hole right in the middle, like our stock spring pack.

I purchased these inserts from 4 Wheel Parts in
Santa Clara for $42.00 for the set. They also
gave me Qty-4 leaf spring clamps & 2 Centerbolts
w/nuts at no charge.

My salesperson was the Assistant Manager. His name is Tom, and he was extremely helpful in finding exactly the right leaf spring inserts
for what I wanted them for..."Re-shape my stock
leaf packs"

They fit perfect and rose my X up to a 4 1/2" lift in the back...My front end is still lifted
to 3 1/2".

I was very happy with there customer service,
warranty policy, and there quick adaptation to
my requests. I am putting them on my "A LIST"
for my future requests.

Here is there info:

Oh Yes...That's where I purchased my new Truxus
Tires... laugh

The front can't be lifted equally if you do a spring-over conversion on the rear... and having an ass-high Xterra would look pretty goofy, unless you like the "stink-bug" look. [Smoking]

Higher lift isn't the only reason for a spring over. Heck, the 4x4 Frontiers have a spring over and they don't look like a stink bug.

4x4 Frontiers have a flatter rear spring pack that is also a different legnth than the X, so you can't use them. The only way to do a spring over for the X would be to have custom flatter leafs made or find a way to lift the front to match (SAS).
