Anyone who doesn't have one... This is a great price... I have 3"x30' (from 4wheelparts) and 2"x20' (cheapo from Wal-Mart).

It is a good idea to have your own recovery strap(s)... If you get stuck...you want to be able to at least pull out your own strap to get a tag.

You don't have to go off-roading to have these straps handy. You can still get stuck on your way to your ski/snowboard trip as well. :rolleyes:

Please note, this is not the proper way to store your strap.

My neighbor in his TOYOTA SR5 called me the other night and he was broke down about 10 miles from home. I went to Walmart and bought a 2"x20' for $26.88 it was rated for over 6k pounds I think. It just had the loops on the ends which I think is better. They had cheaper ones from 15' to 30' but they had these cheap looking/feeling cast pig metal shit hooks on each end. I believe they had a pull rating of only a little over 3k pounds. Moral of story is you get what you pay for with tow straps. I had a couple of them when I had my 4x4 king cab but they went with it.
My neighbor and I have always gone back and forth about which is better, Toyota, or Nissans and when I pulled up in the X on the side of the road with his engine bleeding oil and antifreeze from his blown head gasket he just shook his head and told me to . I told him I didn't say a word but he should have bought a Nissan.
