Anyone going?

http://www.sanjosegrandprix.com/

I'll be there for race day (this sunday) if anyone wants to carpool over or meet up there. Ideally I'd like to be there for the Champ car warm up, but that starts at 8:30 this year, so I'm willing to negotiate on timing.

I'll be there all weekend. It'll be interesting to see how the changes affect the racing.

I'll be hoofin' it from my place downtown though.

Have fun!!

Geoff and I planning on going. Wanna pick me up off of 680 or 880?

Edit, I guess I spoke too soon. Geoff is being wishy washy about it. I still want to go though.

Any chance some of the tix are in the shade? I tried looking but I can't tell. I don't think I can do a full day in the sun.

Fine I'll go.

Call me yellow all you want but you can't call me wishy washy.

I don't know if any of you got out there today, but it sure looks like a decent improvement from last year. The champ cars aren't bottoming out on the light rail tracks anymore, and it felt a lot easier to get around. They got rid of all of that green netting crap on the fences that blocked your view of the track too.

Friday was not even half as crowded as last year either.

So far so good!

P.S. Best spot last year for afternoon shade was on the Adobe side of Almaden at the top end of the long straight.
