Hi all,

I just got an email from Bob who is coordinating transportation for Camp WAMP. They need a lot more rigs to bring the 2nd group of campers and counselors plus all their gear out of camp. As of today they only have 10 rigs committed. For those of you who were there, you know that is not even half of what is needed.

So if you have the weekend free and like the feeling of putting smiles on the faces of kids that deal with huge challenges everyday, please come out and lend a hand and your rig. I guarantee you will feel very appreciated.

Hopefully those driving in can meet along the route at the same places used last weekend, but about 3 hours earlier. We need to be at the campsite about 9:30 a.m. I can meet the group at the campsite or at the entrance to Plumas-Eureka State Park near the museum.

(Note: If you want to do all 3 weekends, I will be helping Saturday and Sunday with a stop on Saturday at the laundromat and a local restaurant. Email me separately if interested.)

If anyone is still interested in helping, there is still a need for more rigs. We need to leave the park entrance by 8:30 so it is an early start.

Hope to see more of you there. Just think you can wheel half of Saturday and camp and have all day Sunday.

I'm working on some details, but I may be able to show up with the 2x Titan. We might need a tug, but it can haul a lot of gear wink

If anyone has directions to the meeting spot, that would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, there's no way a 2WD will be able to traverse that trail. The first hillclimb leading out of camp requires 4WD, and much of the trail requires low-range gearing. You're better off bringing the LJ.

Bad Goofy says I can make it, but that bastard has gotten me into a lot of trouble...I'm going to err on the side of caution this time and regretfully take a pass. I would take the LJ out again, but it is in the shop getting 'bionic'. I sure hope some more folks decide to show up for this.

Thanks for the advice Dean.

Huey made it out in 2wd a few years ago, after shreading his drivers side hub.. His locker helped a bit I would guess..

But even if his front axle was busted, he still had low range. And yes, his rear locker helped.
