Some buddies and I are heading out to Big Bend later this week.

It's been awhile since I've been out there. Anyone know the general condition of the backcountry roads?

I was out there two years ago. Never had to put it in 4wd and passed a minivan on one of the "harder" roads. You shouldn't have any trouble. Have fun!

Never been out there. It was discussed at the last Barnwell run and it seems that you can no longer build fires out there. Not sure how long that has been in efect, but something worth considering.
