What would you think of having a 'Newbie' room were new folks can ask questions without worry of being flamed? If a gas milage, tire size or whatever thread comes up, before someone yells 'search!', a mod could just move it to the 'Newbie' room. I have seen this on other boards, and it seems to work well.

*kind of* (read that again) like the difference between the 4WD and Advanced 4WD forum. One is for basics, one is for more advanced topics.

Newbie forums are for newbies to ask questions WITHOUT FEAR OF FLAMING. The other forums are for people who searched, couldn't find their answer, and have a question to ask, or soemthing to say. Just think how 'clean' the 'general' forum would be...

machs nichs though to me

C'mon man, we were all newbies here at one time. Don't get too much of a hard on because you've been here for over two years. laugh Ofcourse questions that were asked before will continue to pop up from new members, if you don't want to answer them-don't click on the post. How would you like to be excited about your new Xterra, find a web site with over 10,000 other people with the same passion for that vehicle then be greated with [Finger]
??????????????????????????????????????????????

My name is Eric and I approve this post. Eric for moderator 2005. :p

well im a newb...and when i wanted to get information on something, i would search for it, only to be disappointed by the fact that the topic no longer exists... so what is a newb to do, other than to start a new one. if people were tired of the same questions being asked in a certain topic, then there should be a sticky at the top(like in the wheels and tires section) that are found mostt often in a topic. or maybe they should just make a FAQ page altogether, and put it at the top, adressing ALL questions that seem to show up 500 times.

I actually kinda like the idea, but somehow I don't think that it would work since noobs won't get their answer in the noob room since it would not be frequently visited by elder members on here. Hence, they will post in the General, or whichever, forum again.

Eh, I am sure out of the 1000s of memebrs we have here, you could find 3-4 who would be willing to help or moderate. (They do now anyhow, and some even tell the Flame 'Tards to back off.) But whatever, unless the site admin wants to do it (and he is not even responding haha), it ain't gonna happen.
