I am planning a trip to Nova Scotia (on the east coast of canada) to do a little hiking, kayaking and camping and was wondering what the break in time for an X engine is.
I have a 2002 SE-SC. The manual says 1000KM, but I want to be sure. It is ~1800KM each way.
I will have only about 1000KM on my truck when the trip is started.
Good idea or no?
I dont want to mess up my rig for the sake of a few bucks saved on car rental.

Lots of folks change their oil after the first 1000kms, it might not be such a bad idea considering you're about to do a long trip. Fresh oil = gooood.
