A story on the news last night got me thinking, is anyone here running wheel spacers? What is your reason for it (i.e. asthetics, safety..)

A local tire shop did a study and found that it decreased roll overs. Of course, at $300 they will most certainly tell you that. Since I don't plan on putting on any oversized tires any time soon, I was thinking about this. Any thoughts?

Oh, and I did search in this forum and didn't find anything. This may have been covered in another forum, but I don't have time to search each one.

Try searching "spacers" in the Tires, Wheels, and Suspension section next time, I found a few threads there:

Thanks for the info.

X2K- that first link you posted is the company that the news story was about. They are just down the street from me so that is why it caught my eye.

Sounds like these are a bad idea. I kind of questioned it myself. I'm glad I got some input here.

Thanks for the links Brent.
