Hi guys, just wanted to say I just had my Borla CatBack system installed on my 04 X. Sounds great. It will take some time to notice any difference in MPG. The X pulls much better in higher gears. The jury is still out to see if the cost justify the performance. As far as bolt on??? not in this life. The 04 X has to have a flange welded on the crossover pipe, and a small piece of pipe added to reach the flange on the Borla. The intermediate pipe hanger doesnt line up with the factory bracket, and the muffler only has one hanger welded on. the stock muffler has two. Any commnets out there??

the stock muffler had two because it is the size of a trash can! since my exhaust was brand new I simply removed the original muffler and added a Borla muffler and an extra piece of pipe so the tailpipe would be in the same posittion. Cheap, $80 for the muffler, sounds great and I actually did notice a slight increase in performance.
