while on the HW if my foot is on the gas i hear a weird noise coming from the passanger rear side of the car. It sounds like it might have something to do with the rear-end but I don’t have a clue what it could be...?

its sort of a whiny noise.

Search "whine" in problems and annoyances and you'll find lots of info. There is a somewhat common problem with rear diffs (annoying but usually not a sign it will fail). I had my rear axel replaced under warrenty. I guess that is easier than taking everything apart. Good luck! I hope you're under 60K.

I'm glad I happened to come across this post...Upon searching I'm quite surprised how widespread this issue is.

I get the whine at about 60-65mph like everyone else and was just gonna plan to change my diff oil.

Looks like my service dept will be getting another visit..Without the info I've learned on this board, I'm sure they'd try to blame it somehow on "operator error".. :rolleyes:
