Ok so i am trying to decide between the volant and k&n intake for my X. Anyone have any thoughts. I had the K&N FIPK in my last Xterra and loved it. Never had a snorkel and did lots of water crossings and mussings with no side effects. so should i stick to open element or closed in element

I was at my local nissan dealership the other day and he said that unless you have a snorkel go with the open cone set up. I know Nismo makes one to fit the xterra's or youcould g with knn.
