How can I increase the torque in the 02 S/C? What are some of the options? what is the best and what is the cheapest?

Intake and exhaust. IMHO the SC has plenty of power and torque. Of course, that is compared to my over-armored, over-laden NA Xterra. Torque is not a problem on either. I know the Newer X owners will chime in with all the power they have, but then again, they don't have the cool, classic X that fits on trails that were not cut for an H1.

PLEASE read up in the performance section, it's all been covered before. The usual intake/exhaust, and maybe a smaller pulley.

Dagger is right, you guys have plenty for what is needed on the trails. However, intake and exhaust is probably what your looking for. We might have more power, but the 1st gens sit and wait while our fat butts try to get through squeezes and such

Pulley swap?
Don't know how much that gains though, the stock blower may be pretty taxed already.
If you go really aggressive on the pulley, then you'll severely shift the torque down the rpm band, giving a diesel like curve. But you'll destroy your top end (or blower). Seen guys do it to Cobras. They'll make a flat curve at 500+, but hp tops out at 450 or so.

Well read the real-world result from those that have already done it, in the performance section...
