I know there are some Subaru fans out there. I saw the new WRX STi on Edmunds. I am not a big fan of the looks, especially the spoiler, and the gold rims, but the performance seems impressive.

Hmmm... Rally inspired wheels and rally inspired spoiler.

What did you expect in a rally inspired car ?

There is no finer, more enjoyable car available for under $40k.

The rims aren't bad.

The spoiler is a little high for my tastes. (Thank the ricers for that). Maybe just a tad bit lower.

I don't like the gold rims either...I don't like gold anything on any car...very tacky. The rear spoiler is too big and cluttered. A better integrated rear spoiler would be much more appealing. And that front scoop...ugh! eek Looks like something from JC Whitney and attached with double sided tape.

However, the car does offer amazing performance and reasonable price. I would just need to make some cosmetic changes to it before I could be seen on the road.

I have been a huge fan of the EVO - perhaps 8 years in the waiting. Drove one in Japan back in '95. Wow! Either one is awesome, its about time they brought them over to the US. Now, bring the Rally Races over here!

Dave Buscher's Evo 8

I'm looking forward to trying to get my hands on one of the Evo's when I get back to the states.

I love that the aftermarket has taken to the WRX and EVO so quickly.

Yeah but unlike the JC whitney scoops that one serves a purpose.

Murray Thomas from New Zeland set up shop in my neighborhood back in 1993:

TAD motorsports did work on my 98 Mitsu GSX a few years ago. They do very good work.

The best part is that I can see rally prepped Evo's anytime.

Road Race Engineering in Cali also does Rally Racing here in the states. There was just an event in their area this weekend. They also travel down to Mexico for events.

We will be closed beginning Friday May 2...weekend for us.
